Hi, I'm Lucia Fernandes, and I help cat parents all over the world create harmonious, happy homes, one paw at a time.
With decades of hands-on experience and professional qualifications in Feline Behavior, Pet Nutrition, and Veterinary Nursing, I guide cat owners through the highs and lows of understanding feline behavior. From your cat shredding the sofa into smithereens, ignoring you from under the bed for days, or boycotting the litter box out of nowhere. I've witnessed it, worked through it, and restored it with compassion, science, and trust.
Life with My Cats
I currently reside with seven rescue cats, each with their own unique quirks and challenges. One of them was once a stray, and she now comes asleep curled up next to me. I also help care for a number of feral cat colonies, feeding, housing, and providing kindness to cats that will never fully trust humans but are deserving of love nonetheless.
I don't just love cats, I understand them.
Why I Do This
There are so many behavior problems in cats that are labeled or misunderstood as "bad behavior." But the truth is:
Every behavior is a message.
A scratched sofa or growling hiss is not a behavior to punish, it's a message to interpret.
